The Primitivo grape, famous in this area, can and must express itself with elegance and complexity without forgetting its most identifying features. The calcareous soils, typically red, and the climate characterized by particularly hot summers, but with excellent temperature variations between day and night, are the perfect terroir for this variety.
Indigenous Varietal
Primitivo takes its name from the precocity of its ripening which makes it one of the first grapes to be harvested at during the end of August. The mild climate and the calcareous and clayey soils are the natural habitat for the Primitivo grape.
